Summary: Room smelt like dogs I didn't realise it was a dog hotel, there was a dog bed in the room, I did not book for a dog! Good breakfast, friendly staff and a car charger was handy.

Summary: Lovely old inn. Comfortable and civilised. Friendly staff. Evening meal in restaurant with inglenook fireplace very good as were the breakfasts. Rooms are spacious with quality furnishings. Towels excellent and nice to have fresh milk supplied in the mini fridge. Lovely beer garden in lovely rural setting. Recommended!

Summary: The bedroom was adequate but would benefit and could have been cleaner especially the bathroom. The staff were all excellent, attentive and friendly and the food was top notch and decent value.

Summary: Exterior of the property needs a refurb(paint peeling off front door) - first impressions are everything. Staff interacted with customers to the bare minimum. Interior was clean and tidy and evening meal / breakfast very good.

Summary: Second time in six months staying here for a two night break with our aging Cavapoo. Bedrooms are brightly decorated and supplied with tea, water and biscuits which went down well. Managed to choose a nice few days to sit out in the large beer garden. Food was lovely. Dog appreciated her breakfast sausage. All staff we encountered were friendly and polite. Stairs to the bedrooms fairly steep so could be a struggle for older large dogs - mine’s pickupable despite being weighed down with sausages, so could carry her up/down as she’s starting to struggle on stairs. Bath/shower could do with a handrail to hold onto when stepping in to avoid slipping. And a shame it’s only Carling lager on tap! But we’re looking forward to returning.

Summary: Very accommodating clean food top quality lovely location fan in room great as it was so hot worked well. Will definitely be back to stay here One thing was the stairs to the rooms were steep so if you struggle with stairs.
