Positive: It is a beautifully fitted out building - as the advertisement shows - and the jacuzzi was very nice and at a good temperature. Furnishings were good quality and very comfortable, though more everyday amenities would have been appreciated - there wasn't so much as a spare bin bag, and only a single centimetre of hand soap in the bottle by each sink.

Negative: I chose this property for my annual wellbeing retreat due to its seclusion. However, it very much felt like being in someone's backyard, or being a lodger perhaps; the experience felt distinctly less luxurious because of this. I was politely reprimanded by the owners (who reside next door) about parking outside the property - I had had difficulty in deciphering the written rules & instructions beforehand but the space outside the property is apparantly for residents of nearby properties (the barn is midway down a row of terraced houses), rather than guests who are occupying that property. On two occasions two of the owners (a lad and an adult man respectively) came past the french windows of the sitting room (which do not have privacy curtains) to see what instrument I was playing. I appreciate that it does have an unusual sound (Persian lap fiddle) but I very much appreciate my privacy and expect it to be respected. The bit of yard with jacuzzi is not well separated from the owners' yard and overlooked by thier property which makes the jacuzzi also feel not very private. The yard is also less suitable for pets than a properly enclosed yard and there is a resident cat. On one of the days I was awoken by a window washer setting up at the hose point below me, who then proceeded to do my windows whilst a loud exchange ensued between him and one of the owners on what was to be for supper that night. I had not been informed about this so found and found it to be stressful as a result; the noise initially appeared to be someone entering the property.

Summary: Not the most relaxing of holiday experiences I have had

Positive: The owner was lovely, really kind and helpful and the place was absolutely lovely. Beautifully furnished, everything we needed, spotlessly clean and tidy and welcoming. A true base and home from home when we were down competing as a team for WODLand nearby.

Positive: The property was was beautifully renovated, with a luxurious yet Homely comfortable feel, the sofas were persuasively inviting to relax and enjoy the centre of the home, noyet the wood and stone work fireplace. The Skylights in all areas remind you, that whatever the season, this renovated barn will keep you in gratuitous comfort, with modern technology in rustic farmland surroundings. The friendly fielded cows are but 100 metres away

Negative: Unfortunately the third party organisers were of little use.
