Positive: We loved The Barn. On arrival, we were greeted with candle light and music and the loveliest welcome pack which included (amongst other things) posh bread and biccies, and gin and tonic. Probably the nicest welcome experience of any self catering accommodation I've stayed in. It was incredibly clean and so cosy with the wood burner on the go. No need to take your dressing gowns - these are thoughtfully provided. We cooked three nights out of four. The kitchen was really well equipped and the knives were sharp - anyone who likes to cook knows how important this is! Really good oven too which did us some great roast veg. What we appreciated the most was the bed. We slept incredibly well, averaging 10 hours a night. We never sleep this well at home. Apparently it's a new mattress and I can confirm it did the perfect job. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into The Barn to ensure that guests have a lovely experience which we most certainly did. Thank you, Rachel, for a fantastic stay.

Positive: Barn was lovely and clean. Rachel had kindly supplied bread, jam, milk, juice, tea, and coffee to get us started. Perfect location if you're visiting the Museum, Beaulieu, and Brokenhurst only 30-minute drive. Places to eat in Burley, Queens Head, The White Buck, and Shappen Cafe.

Negative: Unfortunately, the mattress needs replacing, not comfortable at all, and didn't sleep too well. The smoke alarm kept flashing all night in the bedroom, which became very annoying. Do not eat at the Burley Inn.or the Motor Museum.

Positive: The attention to detail that Rachel gives to The Barn is truly amazingly. A wonderful welcome pack greeted us when we arrived and we immediately relaxed and started to enjoyed our break. The Barn was comfortable and clean but so much more than that and we recommend a stay here wholeheartedly.

Negative: There was some traffic noise and the roads were busier than we expected, but that is not the fault of The Barn and we soon found lovely walks and drives through the forest.

Positive: We had such a lovely time on our little Xmas break. Walked into the barn to be greeted by candles, the radio playing & a beautiful Christmas tree. There was a welcome pack consisting of bread, milk, butter, jam & juice which was very much appreciated! We had also been left some gin & tonic, snacks & mince pies which was a lovely touch! The barn is a perfect size, really warm, we didn't need to use the log burner though we really wanted to! It is in the perfect location, ideal for us when going out & about. The bathroom resembled a spa, with white fluffy towels & bath robes which was a lovely touch! All in all, a perfect hideaway for a few days.

Negative: There was nothing we didn't like about our stay. Only thing I can mention is you can hear the cars going past on the road.

Summary: A brilliant cosy retreat in an ideal location with beautiful personal touches.

Positive: Very inviting on arrival - lighted candles; G&T awaiting on the table; lovely welcome pack. Friendly owners. Absolutely stunning barn. All what one required was insitu. Beautiful surroundings. Gorgeous roaming ponies and wildlife. Lots of places to go - Bournemouth, Poole. Great places to eat - High Corner Inn, Queens Head, Jolly Sailor. The weather was on our side too. Fabulous 3 nights away. Would definitely recommend 🙏
