Positive: Great place, big room, nice surroundings, great pool and a bargain!

Negative: Forget about using the WiFi… it’s crap. Feels like those 80’s modems. Just to launch google you’re gonna be waiting 10 seconds or more. It’s useless. So, buy an eSIM with data or tell the owners in advance to pay for a better internet plan.

Summary: It was so great. But I had a 20GB eSIM and didn’t need the WiFi.

Positive: Great location with great hosts. The room is lovely and clean, and a HUGE bed. I slept soundly every night. The views are lovely too. The pool is lovely too, quite a rare find to have an exclusive pool to yourself in Bangkok.

Negative: I had a few things I’d do differently. The pool lights and cleaning system were rarely on so I didn’t know weather I could go in the pool, and since the pool is adjacent to the main house once they go to sleep you can’t use the pool which is abit sad because I did want a night swim in there. There was also a very large wasp nest outside my room and every night I’d hear hundreds of wasps tapping on the door, at one point I got trapped outside for about an hour and stung twice. The owners have said they’d rectify it though. I’m not sure how to feel because I couldn’t really go outside at one point.

Positive: Fantastic location, green quiet spot in big noisy Bangkok. Amazing swimming pool, very friendly staff, very clean room. We got more than we expected. Highly recommend, and if we visit Bangkok again, definitely we will book Backyard 28 one more time! :)

Positive: Great, quiet location in the centre of Bangkok, right on the Sky train route. I had use of the swimming pool which was clean and a real bonus to cool off.

Negative: No complaints, the staff were there but not intrusive and always available if you need anything.

Summary: Comfortable oasis in Central Bangkok.

Positive: We loved staying at this location! It’s located at the end of a dead end street surrounded by lush gardens and a beautiful pool. The building is in the backyard of a main house, it’s the only rental and is far enough away it’s a private get away. The building had everything we needed, there was bottled water provided, shampoo and soap, a couple pieces of fruit and coffee supplies. There are a TON of restaurants and bars around, public transit is just a 10 min walk and there is a huge mall within a 10-15 min walk.

Negative: You do need to carry around a set of keys used to open a couple padlocks to gain entrance to the property and the building. It’s not a huge deal but you’ll definitely need to have pockets/purse to carry them.

Summary: Beautiful, private residence with a fantastic location and great amenities.

Positive: Fantastic location very near Metro station and central, but down a quiet street so you get lots of peace and quiet. The room is extremely comfortable and beautifully finished and the swimming pool is lovely!
