Summary: Family rooms could do with a bit of refurb and bathrooms defo need updating. Shower head black mould and water sprayed everywhere, so did not use shower and had to have a quick bath. Staff were really nice

Summary: I will start positive: the team at the hotel could not have been more friendly and helpful. They tried to help me every way possible and helped me change rooms when the first was not suitable. I was travelling alone with a 4 month baby and I appreciate every effort that was made. Thank you so much team argyle. Please be aware the hotel does not have cots as advertised but once moved to a family room I was able to improvise with the spare bed. Again thank you to the team for moving me so quickly and helping. The less positive: the hotel is old and desperate for modernisation and general improvement. The shower was a dribble and holder was broken so grateful a bath was still an option. Beds are not comfortable (at least mine was not). The towel rail worked which was a plus. Options are limited in Dunoon and if it wasn’t for the brilliant team I would rate poor.

Summary: Stayed with grandchildren in a great room. Staff extremely knowledgeable and accomodating. I did not like the breakfast dining experience. No back ground music the food was not great and you coukd hear a pin drop. No one talking at tables it felt awkward. Otherwise a great stay. I will stay again it was very pricey but location is why
