Positive: Overall, a wonderful stay that I would happily recommend. The host was warm and welcoming, and the property itself was clean and well-maintained. Security felt well thought out. Each room had its own key and the building was accessible via a private entry code, which made the whole stay feel safe and comfortable. Having access to a shared kitchen was also a great added bonus. To put things in perspective, we would absolutely rebook this place in the future and would rate it a solid 9 out of 10. The points below are minor details rather than dealbreakers, and should be taken in that spirit.

Negative: That said, the one notable downside was the parking situation. The listing advertises parking, however in reality this amounts to street parking in what felt like an unsafe neighborhood, with limited spaces that were insufficient for all guests at the hostel. For travelers arriving by car, this is worth keeping in mind as it was quite a letdown compared to what was advertised. Additionally, upon check-in, the host took a photo of our ID on their personal phone. While we understand this is a common practice for verification purposes, there was no transparency around it. No explanation of how long the image is kept, where it is stored, or how it is protected. This is a legitimate privacy concern, as a personal phone is vulnerable to theft or unauthorized access, which would put guests' personal identification data at risk. A clearer policy on this, or the use of a more secure and official system, would go a long way in building trust with guests. A few small adjustments in how both the parking and ID handling are communicated upfront would easily make this a perfect 10.

Positive: The place is renovated and looks kinda nice and new. Overall fine to stay.

Negative: The fact that you book a "double or twin room" that says "sleep 2 people" and then on the spot they take you to a dorm with 4 beds and your need to negotiate is rather confusing. Rooms are minimalistic, just beds and walls, far from cozy. Kitchen and living area are closed 10 pm to 7 am, but some volunteers living there might cook noisy at 5 am.

Negative: The booking listed the room as a female dormitory room and I was housed with two men. The first night there was another female with me and the men, but the second night it was only me with the men, which was very awkward.
