Positive: Nice clean room, comfy bed. Breakfast was good and the evening meal was very tasty and good value for money.
Negative: WiFi signal very patchy, though this is a small village in a fairly remote area to be fair. Better signal in the pub though!
Summary: A comfortable stay

Positive: Nice clean property, friendly staff
Negative: To far away from any towns. Very noisy at night with people using the bathroom next to our room. People above us were very noisy walking on creeky floors all night
Summary: Fair

Positive: Lovely accommodation, our room was very spacious and comfortable with easy access and a lovely view. Tastefully decorated and a fantastic shower in the bathroom. Staff were very friendly and attentive and the place had a warm, country welcome on arrival and throughout our stay.
Negative: There was a slight smell from the drain in the bathroom when we arrived.

Positive: The perfect location for a night stop while walking the Pennine Way. The room was comfortable, quiet and spacious. The evening meal (Sunday roast) was very nice and the breakfast buffet and hot menu were very good too.
Negative: It is clear that the limited number of staff work extremely hard to provide a good service. On arrival we found them very busy so first impressions were mixed. Having learned how hard they were working and experienced the food and subsequent service that they delivered, we were impressed.
Summary: We would happily stay here again

Positive: Stayed in the main building - Very clean room. Didn't use the TV or kettle as we were shattered by the time we arrived but they were available for us as well as cups, tea/coffee/sugar and even biscuits. Beds were comfortable and accessing the room via keybox was really easy. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. interaction with the staff (lady making the breakfast) was pleasant. In house pup was adorable too. Came over for a back scratch which my teen was over the moon with. Will definitely be booking again when we need to stop off overnight.
Negative: Not a reflection on the hotel per say but the communal toilet was left unflushed. That's on the other guests though not the hotel. Literally the only downside of our stay. Guess its a risk with a shared bathroom.
Summary: Fantastic stay - Will be back again

Positive: Nice rooms, powerful hot shower. Good food both for evening meal and breakfast.
Negative: Bit of a mix up over allocated rooms and codes to get into them
Summary: Pennine way overnight stop
