Summary: Clean room, staff friendly, breakfast was expensive at £15 i thought especially as i only had a piece of toast and a Tea and an omelette, but value for money if you want a full cooked breakfast and cereals etc

Summary: We had a great stay at the Alma inn. We stayed from Wednesday to Sunday during the Open at Royal Birkdale. This was the perfect place for us to commute to the Open, but also pull away from the crowds. We thoroughly enjoyed the views of the landscape, the breakfast as well as the terrace for a drink and dinner in the lovely summer weather. The the staff was great. They helped us out arranging breakfast earlier than normal, so we could get to the Open. Can really recommend the place, also for exploring the lancashire area, go on golf trips or alike. 10 out of 10.

Summary: Room 1 is extremely small, but was spotless and the bed extremely comfortable. There were too few staff. Service at dinner and the bar was very slow. Dinner wasn't as hot as it should have been. There was too much food on a small plate, I had to hunt under the chicken for my vegetables! Overall, it's quite expensive for food that although was delicious it wasn't hot and not served in a timely manner.

Summary: Nice old pub with helpful pleasant staff. However our evening meal was disappointing; we complained about the bruschetta which was just some large chunks of tasteless tomatoes on bread. Our room was ok but needed better cleaning (my wife had to dust the bedside tables). We also found the bed too hard - a mattress topper would be helpful. So overall not what we were expecting ☹️

Summary: Room was ok nice bed bathroom ok needs tlc and food was great drinks abit deer food drink 190£ ×2 but overall nice relaxing place no late drinks all in all 6/10
