Summary: lovely hotel restaurant in a great location

Summary: Nice old pub with helpful pleasant staff. However our evening meal was disappointing; we complained about the bruschetta which was just some large chunks of tasteless tomatoes on bread. Our room was ok but needed better cleaning (my wife had to dust the bedside tables). We also found the bed too hard - a mattress topper would be helpful. So overall not what we were expecting ☹️

Summary: Cannot recommend highly enough! Decent room, excellent restaurant (very good value and great quality) and all the staff were relaxed and friendly which created a really welcoming atmosphere.

Summary: Although there was an issue with my booking on arrival (I had a confirmation but it hadn’t been received by the hotel), they were great about it and didn’t hesitate to get me a room organised. I was a late arrival and the kitchen had closed but again the team sorted me something to eat. The room was great and breakfast was fabulous. Highly recommended!

Summary: Location was beautiful, Check in was easy, The bar area and restaurant looked lovely as both areas had log fires roaring, and were decorated very tastefully for Christmas, which gave a lovely welcoming vibe, the room was spotless, bedding was of good quality, the room was very peaceful, with no annoying extractor fan from the bathroom, which you get in a lot of hotels, Also the room was nice and dark, which helped with a really good nights sleep. Evening food was excellent, as was breakfast, the lady we saw at breakfast both days was lovely, friendly and extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We will be back for another stay hopefully soon.
