Positive: Great location, very warm and kind staff, tasty food and great quality of both sauna and steam bath - we'll very likely be back!

Negative: There could be a bit more space in the relax area associated with the SPA - I'm sure this is less of an issue in summer when it's easier to chill beside the pool, but in winter it can get a bit crammed.

Positive: Pool and spa. Free wine tasting at 4pm. Warm rooms. All staff friendly.

Negative: Solid bed and pillows. A bad night's sleep due to being uncomfortable. Food and drinks quite expensive.

Positive: Nice room, great bar, lovely spa, nice touches of 4pm champagne and 9pm nightcap. Great breakfast, good coffee, juice. Lovely helpful staff. Good food in restaurant and great location for walks and exploring the village (offering other good food/drink options).

Negative: Restaurant is good but feels a bit “hotel-restaurant”. Maybe needs some design change. We were asked (politely) by reception to turn TV down at 11pm. It wasn’t that loud, so not the best sound insulation…..but we didn’t hear anything 😂

Summary: Fantastic break in a nice level of luxury, without being OTT pretentious

Positive: The staff were super lovely as was the room. I loved the extra little touches such as wine tasting and a free post dinner drink. Great spa and pool and a fantastic location for walks and exploring Alfriston and surroundings.

Negative: I didn’t love the restaurant, food was below average for the price being charged.
