The lights of San Antonio are just over the horizon so close enough to visit the many activities there but far enough away to feel you've taken a step back in time.
Although, the house is about 100 years old, it has all the comforts you'll need: air conditioned and heated, 6 fireplaces for winter fires, wifi, TV, kitchen with all you'll need to cook big family meals and an amazing, one-of-a-kind dining table for 14.
The pool is extra large and there are walking trails to lead you deep into this 500 acre ranch.

Summary: We utilized this property as a gathering point for a large family reunion. The facilities allowed a full group representing all age groups to get together and participate in large and small groups simultaneously. The pool was large enough to easily accommodate the 20 people we had playing in it. The property Manager was quick to respond and assist with any questions. The rooms are lacking in privacy as was mentioned by others but worked well for a bunch of family and cousins that are wanting to hang together. The setting provides a lot of character and a historical peek into our recent past. I would definitely rent again.

Summary: It was an older home-property was available when needed. Pool had some issues several of the days we were there-and ac is an older unit-went out and bought fans .

Summary: We stayed here for a weekend to attend a wedding in the area. We were a group of 13 and had plenty of space for us all. The views from this property were so beautiful!! We were very pleasantly surprised by them because the listing does not show pictures of it. The home is old but kept up pretty well. It was decorated so perfectly. As I said it is an old home so expect things to not be perfect. The layout is odd because of additions made to the home but it’s very easy to make it work by using the doors that go onto the outside porch to go where you need. Ben the groundskeeper was very helpful and quick to respond. All around it was a great weekend and we would absolutely stay here again!!

Summary: We had a nice time. I would have liked a better explanation of the layout of the bedrooms and bathroom since you had to walk thru 3 bedrooms and a bath to get to the next one. Only two bedrooms had any privacy which created a little bit of an issue for the family and friends staying with us. The other issue was getting in and out of the sunken bath tubs and showers. 3 of our guest left because they did not feel comfortable having other guest walk thru their bed room to get to thiers.

Summary: Family time is priceless for us and we look forwarded to summer time together under one roof so with 7 grand kids and five adult chilren we need a big place. This Raanch House was it , we loved it and enjoyed the space inside and out. We will always have memories of this great weekend together. The only hiccup during our stay was while we were enjoying our first night at the pool (Primary reason we rented this place ) another small family showed up . Both families assumed it was a pool dedicated to house that was rented , in the end we worked it out where both familes could have privite family time at the pool. 5 stars on pool by the way , everyone enjoyed it. Porch is awesome spot to hang out , Hiking on the ranch was great . Highly recommend this place for large gatherings.

Summary: We had the best weekend at Tarry Bank Ranch Vrbo. The house is old but full of charm and so nicely decorated. It’s large so everyone had their own space, but there were plenty of places to gather for family time. Shay the property manager was so friendly and laid back and it was one of the best stocked Vrbo s I’ve ever stayed in.
