Positive: Perfect little weekend getaway. So relaxing and peaceful. The lodge was spotless and the bed was probably the comfiest we’ve ever slept in! Couldn’t fault a thing.

Positive: The property was so peaceful, with sheep and goats right outside, which made the whole stay feel very relaxing. The stars were brilliant to watch from the hot tub, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We were also lucky enough to visit while a 1940s weekend was taking place at the nearby airfield, so we got to watch Spitfires flying overhead. There are a few local shops less than a five-minute drive away, and York itself is around 40 minutes away. There is also a spa in the nearby area . The hosts were excellent at responding to messages, and all the instructions provided were very clear.
Negative: We lost electricity for a few hours on the Sunday, which affected some of our refrigerated items. However, we contacted the hosts and the problem was resolved quickly.
Summary: We came for a peaceful and relaxing weekend away, and that was exactly what we got.

Positive: Absolutely perfect for a lovely relaxing stay !! Which is what we had. Didn’t really leave the lodge which was perfect as the weather was great. Bottle of fizz and biscuits were welcomed . Thank you . The sheep , goats and horses that came up a bonus. ( would have liked a bit of food to feed them 😍) Nothing negative to say . Will def be back .

Positive: Beautiful quiet location close to interesting places to visit. Lovely village with pub, shop and deli. Made very welcome. Lovely outside areas to relax. Comfy bed.

Positive: The location was stunning . Hot tub/ spa superb. The peace and quiet and privacy was exactly what we needed. Dave and Ann there if you needed them . 2 lovely people.
Negative: Not a lot really maybe a fly screen on the door a few flys about but we overcame that . But saying that we are in a field so not really a problem.
Summary: Peace tranquility and perfect stay . And a stunning lodge .
