Positive: Idyllic peaceful retreat in Marche foothills with lovely walks and views of the stunning Sibillini mountains. Delicious and inventive vegetarian dinners using locally grown and foraged ingredients. Stefano and Patrizia care deeply about the natural world that surrounds their special place. Very good organic wine from a fine local producer too!

Positive: A house in the middle of the forest, as remote from the world as you can. Nice room, fantastic views, and most important, a wonderful host and house owner, Stefano, a man of the world, full of interesting knowledge to share, explaining about the fruits in the garden (that you get to eat in breakfast), and pointing to the best hikes and attractions around. This help to make our vacation successful.

Negative: The remoteness comes at some cost, the 2 kilometers access path, while can be done with a normal car (as our rented car), is not an easy task, although, at day 3, we did it with ease...

Positive: Beautifully restored outbuildings of a farm house, we received a very warm welcome from the hosts and it is in a delightful (very) rural setting.

Negative: There was no mention before booking of the 2km white road which is a substantial hurdle to getting to the place especially after dark. In parts extremely difficult and even dangerous for a normal car. The second night we ate in the hotel, a delicious vegetarian meal but it was wildly overpriced.

Summary: We won't be going back.
