Summary: Very clean and immaculately kept property. Just what we wanted for a winter getaway. A beautiful open fire in close proximity to town centre. Very comfortable bed and a well-appointed kitchen. Look forward to returning.

Summary: The cottage was simply perfect for a couple. Log fire in the lounge on a cool evening, warm comfortable bed, modern country style kitchen, and a lovely style bathroom. And we were lucky enough to be there in autumn, the colour of the trees out of the back windows was spectacular. I don’t think there could be a better place to stay in Tenterfield. A great place to spend a few days, if you stop and look Tenterfield has a lot to offer, including some great food venues. The owner was easy to deal with and very helpful. Want something nice with a bit of quality, then this is the place.

Summary: Red Rose Cottage was everything we hoped for, and more. It was spotlessly clean, had everything we could possibly want or need, and was surprisingly warm. We had been a little concerned about the cold, but needn't have been worried. The fire was wonderful and the bedding supplied was more than enough to keep us both warm. The cottage is in a lovely quiet location with plenty of birdlife which kept us entertained while we had a cuppa on the lovely sunny terrace. Bruce called to introduce himself when the booking was first made, replied quickly to a message I sent him, and all instructions regarding the key safe and house generally were clear and easily followed. Tenterfield itself is an interesting place, steeped in Australian history. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Red Rose Cottage, and are very hopeful we will be able to return before too much time has passed.
