Positive: Declan is such a wonderful host, we were welcomed with afternoon tea by the open fire and fresh baked cake. Our room was stunning and lovely large comfortable bed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was delicious with fresh home made breads and conserves and everything cooked beautifully. This is 5 star service at an affordable price and in a lovely historic setting. On leaving we were kindly given fresh baked hot cross buns for our onward trip. We ate out in Moate and there was no problem getting a taxi there and back. Would definitely recommend a stay here...so peaceful.

Positive: Spacious bedroom, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast, piglets and ponies, and the cute little dog running around! Sitting by the fire in the evening was a nice touch too!

Positive: The breakfast was very well presented in true Irish fashion.We looked forward to the full Irish breakfast.We were extreemly well looked after.Above and beyond in every way.

Negative: It took a long time to locate the place as aircode would not come up on my sat nav.Some sinage on the gate and the road from the A446 leading up to the B and B would have solved the location trail.

Summary: Extreemly well looked after by two very nice hosts.

Positive: We were greeted warmly by Declan and Bernie, and the house is gorgeous! They made very tasty Irish breakfast. The location offers a dark sky so you can see the Milky Way clearly if the sky is clear and the moon isn’t too bright. The garden is pretty and the croquette lawn is lovely! The pigs said hello when we approached their fence. Beds are very comfortable!

Positive: The breakfast was incredible! A true Irish breakfast, homemade to order with lots of specialty foods in an intimate setting. Only 3 rooms keeps it intimate.

Negative: Shower pressure was low and slippery. Not a major issue though.
