Positive: From the moment I arrived, I felt like an honorary guest. Danielle and Aaron were extremely gracious hosts. Fabulous facilities. The chef and his team prepared an amazing feast using only the best local ingredients. This was by far the one of the best experiences I've had in all my travels around the world. Kudo to The Karaka Lodge for their organization and delivery.

Negative: I wish I could have stayed longer.

Positive: Had a wonderful stay at Te Karaka Lodge, Aaron and Danielle were amazing hosts and Franz cooked very delicious food! It is isolated out in the countryside and exactly what we were looking for some time to unwind, it was amazing to see all the stars as we luckily has clear sky's our second night. Everything is new and a high standard, beautiful design inside. We also loved Steve the friendly cat.

Negative: Nothing, it was excellent for our stay.

Positive: Everything is perfect about this place. The road from Auckland to the property was a bit rocky but totally worth the trouble. It is such a quiet relaxing hideaway and this is what I have always envisioned of NZ. Aaron and Danielle are wonderful hosts and make you feel welcomed and at ease the whole time. The dinner prepared by Chef Dom is also superb. Have to come back again for a longer stay!

Positive: It’s brand new and everything is set up to very high standards. It’s very cozy and posh, very relaxing and also you know you will very well looked after. The food was amazing, you know the chef put a lot of thoughts into it when you tasted it.
