Summary: If you're looking for an onsen experience this is the place! We were welcomed as we drove up the windy mountain road to the hotel. The check in experience was calm and efficient. Dinner, breakfast and private bath times chosen. The baths are wonderfull, overlooking the river and with views down the forested valley. Dinner and breakfast were amazing, although our kids sadly didn't feel adventurous enough. It was a truly magical experience on our first trip to Japan.

Summary: Beautiful hotel lobby and very friendly staff. Location can be a challenge to get to if the roads are snowy. 4WD / snow tire or chains a must in winter.

Summary: the scenery of the mountain view is stunning, especially in the fall season with leaves in green, yellow, red and brown. Meals provided by the hotel were great. Onsen with mountain and river view was amazing, and i felt really relaxing during the whole visit
