Positive: The staff were extremely helpful, warm and friendly. From getting us into our rooms early, making extra phone calls to help us locate a local growing some macaw plants, to making sure we had all the refreshments and breakfast items we needed, everyone seemed genuinely interested and invested in our happiness. The decor was natural and tasteful, elegant while homely. Beautiful views, convenient to both the small older part of town and Taroko. Super delicious breakfast with some homemade jams. Natural eco soaps.

Positive: Perfect place to stay to explore Taroko. the gorge is only minutes away and you can walk to town. we were the only guests and the staff were so helpful and the female manager / owner was amazing with recommendations and breakfast the following day. room was perfect

Positive: Room was nice, marble and wood. Staff were amazingly helpful. Helped to organise train tickets and run me to the station. Early check in was made available. I slept really well. Very popular with bike tours.

Negative: View wasn’t as good as I expected - the main road is in front of you. There are aggressive dogs on the way from the station to the hotel - use the free transfer service. There is no bar, although you can BYO beer / wine from the 7/11 and have it with your dinner in the lounge. National park is closed but there are certain paths you can use at certain times of day if you speak to the office, which is closed each 2nd and 4th Monday of the month. Unfortunately that was exactly when I was there.
