Positive: Very comfortable hotel, just steps from the ferry, restaurants, and Walking Street, yet away from the noise and crowds. Very large room, great bed, and very friendly staff. You can rent a scooter directly from them for 200 baht per day. I especially want to thank Tom Thaem, who was very helpful and professional. She helped me with the bus to my next destination. If I return to Koh Lanta, I will definitely stay here again.

Positive: The room was very clean and had everything you needed. The property is super close to the walking street market where you can find amazing Thai food and it is very cheap. The staff is amazing. Everyone is so kind. We woke up every morning and there were bottles of water and coffee left outside our room. We have been travelling in Thailand for a while and usually people are very welcoming but the hospitality and kindness we found at Tan Residence was outstanding.

Positive: Great location, especially for divers as it is near dive shops in Saladan and the pier. I could walk everywhere. Very helpful and courteous family and staff. All rooms have sit-outs which is nice. Everything worked. The tidy and well-equipped kitchenette was a surprise bonus and very handy especially after a series of 3-dive days.

Negative: No restaurant or room service, but the kitchenette and plenty of stores and places to eat in the neighbourhood made up for it.

Summary: Great for divers.

Positive: Really lovely owners , they helped teach me how to ride a moped to ensure that I had the best time on the island (moped / mbike is necessary ) The room was really nice and worth the money
