Summary: Can get to Rabaul on public bus, free shuttle from airport, convenient, near market.actually has free wifi for my stay. Lose power pretty often, but it is not the hotel's fault. Aircon and ceiling fan are fine. Get a room away from the loud generator.

Summary: I enjoyed my stay. My room was alway clean and towels change daily. My room was spacious with air conditioned. Free breakfast was exceptional. And it's was the cheapest in town.

Summary: You get what you pay for - certainly prices in PNG too high for the product supplied - but Taklam lodge meets short term business travelers needs - clean comfortable air conditioned rooms - in deluxe section. Situated in middle town opposite bustling market Food good in restaurant - fresh and nicely prepared. Dessert not available although on menu. Service very slow but it appears that one staff member was working day and night with little break - need another waitress/waiter to help - especially when there is an influx of guests from cancelled flights as occurred on both nights I was there No wifi but it is poor on the island anyway
