Positive: We expected a bit more from a Taj property overall. On the positive side, we were upgraded upon arrival, and the new room was huge and comfortable. The hotel’s location is also excellent — just minutes away from the Taj Mahal, with rooftop views of the monument. The breakfast spread was extensive, with plenty of variety, and the staff at the restaurant were very attentive and welcoming. The overall experience didn’t quite match the level we expected from the Taj brand.

Negative: The rooftop bar was particularly disappointing: the food and beverage menu was very mediocre, yet the prices were shockingly high. The space itself felt outdated, with worn-out furniture and an overall lack of atmosphere. Unfortunately, the pool area also looked old and uninspiring. We also had an issue at reception where we were accidentally charged double. The mistake was only noticed after I pointed it out, and we are now still waiting for the refund, which has been quite inconvenient. I would definitely recommend carefully checking your bill before leaving the hotel.

Negative: For a Taj property this was a bit of a letdown. Just about everything seemed to lack a certain finesse. The enthusiastic the staff were clearly inexperienced. Even though we were paying premium rates, the experience was basic..
