Positive: House was beautiful and very well laid out. Location was great. Huge fridge.... Posh oven and hob.. cool once we worked out how to use them!
Negative: Lots of little and some bigger jobs need attention. Doorstep slab missing, driveway gate broken, fences down, decking very bouncy and not great for walking on... needs replaced.. Inside - Kitchen door handle broken, bathroom cabinet door wonky, a toilet seat not on properly, a cistern button kept sticking, kitchen cupboard door hitting glass oven door ... these things were highlighted when we arrived and caretaker of house came by to have a look .. but he really couldn't do anything.. but at least they're highlighted to them... So hopefully once these issues are addressed , it'll be near perfect!! The corner sofa in room off the kitchen needs pulled out and cleaned.. it was filthy underneath. But rest of house was really clean and looked great.

Positive: The property was very clean as were the bed linen and towels. It was cosy and warm and there was plenty of hot water. We could walk to the supermarket, cafes, restaurants, shops and there were lots of dog walks straight from the front door. It was also quiet and peaceful. The rooms are large and spacious.
Negative: It could do with a lot of TLC. The outside area is very neglected with lots of weeds, uneven/loose paving slabs and some decking is starting to give way. Half of the hot tub jets do not work, the games room equipment also does not work, there was no instructions on how to work anything apart from the coffee machine or on bin collection or recycling. Both upstairs hand basins were slow to drain as is the downstairs shower. The bedroom with the low double bed needs to have the mattress replaced as it was very uncomfortable. This bedroom also has a leak at one of the windows and hail/rain entered the room. Some of these issues have been raised in previous reviews and in the visitors book in the house and it is disappointing these have not yet been addressed.
Summary: We did enjoy our stay but were disappointed that we did not get full use of the facilities advertised.

Positive: The size and location was good. The table tennis area and kitchen were great social spaces. The hot tub was enjoyed by everyone. The bedrooms were nice.
Negative: The outdoor space/garden is looking a bit unkept, the grassy area is all weeds and the patio area and steps leading into house are broken. The decking round hot tub etc was weak in places. The gate/fencing was also broken so no way to secure area for children.
Summary: The property was great for a family weekend and we had a lovely time. but the outside space could be finished to a high

Positive: The property is amazing, very comfortable and warm with a fabulous log burner. House & hot tub immaculately clean! As were the beds, spotless!
Negative: Loved it all but maybe some more lighting at the hot tub would be good. Some fairy lights on the fence. A potato masher would also be handy. The cooker and oven were quite tricky to work but we got there in the end. Music system in games room didn’t work. Had to play music through TVs. No matches in the property for the log burner and logs were sodden. We had to buy matches and a bag of logs.
Summary: Absolutely fantastic! We loved our stay!
