Summary: overall, probably the best hotel in Almaty. I’ve been staying there for three years now, the condition of the hotel has deteriorated. The things they do for certain guests is bothered to others. They have a beautiful fountain in front, it’s grand only when certain guests are present. Every year the quality is going down. But would still return. The swimming pool staff try to rush you out by the end of the day, Take away your robe, slippers etc while you are still there during working hours, very rude and unprofessional

Summary: This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting with some very attentive members of staff who try their best to provide a great experience for their guests. The massage and spa facilities are excellent. The inclusive breakfast is excellent in both quality and the range of food offered Unfortunately I got a feeling of what the Americans call being 'Nickel and Dimed' For instance, after travelling for 24 hours to reach this hotel and arriving at midday the reception staff informed me that I would have to pay an early check in charge if I wanted to go to a room as I had arrived before the 15.00 hrs check in time! I would also not be allowed to use the swimming pool/spa facilities before the appointed 15.00 hrs check in time. On check out day a special tag is now given to those leaving the hotel as you will be asked to leave the swimming pool/spa facilities after midday! Come on Swissotel are you a five star luxury hotel or are you a spa resort? Your customers need to know!
