Positive: Good location to explore Lavenham, Tudor buildings all around & a lot of history.

Negative: Bedroom was very dark, and hot a lot of traffic noise from the road outside our room.

Summary: Good choice of breakfast options, staff very welcoming & helpful.

Positive: Amazing huge and ancient hotel, with beams everywhere and an absolute maze to find our bedroom. Lovely large heritage room, sofa and two armchairs, nicely decorated, comfortable bed. Champagne in the breakfast buffet! Kind friendly staff who made a fuss of us when we mentioned it was our anniversary. Lavenham itself is interesting and charming, full of medieval buildings. Fabulous food and wine, with pianist serenading us up on the mezzanine level. Turndown service with special swan chocolates!

Negative: Some long waits between courses at lunch and dinner Bath tub with plug which didn't seal and screen which didn't stay in place. Very minor grumbles.

Summary: We'll be back!

Positive: Stunningly beautiful restaurant, bar and reception rooms in a superb location.

Negative: Service in the restaurant wasn't the best - it was valentine's weekend so we had caught it at its busiest, so that's probably why. The staff were very friendly, but not quite coping.
