Positive: Swallow Cottage was just perfect for our family of four. We stayed for a week and the cottage is in a perfect location to be able to visit the local attractions. Parking is available if you have a car and there is also a bus stop just down the road if you want to explore with public transport.

Negative: The only down point was there wasn’t a Washing machine, but we were lucky that my Mum lived just around the corner so we could use hers.

Positive: Perfect holiday home, well presented and set up with care for comfort, and necessities. Wonderful location, perfect for walking the dogs and getting that much needed fresh air! Great views of fields rather than concrete!

Negative: Only slight niggle I like a hard bed, but that is personal preference rather than a complaint.

Summary: Best place I have stayed in this area, I can't recommend more highly.

Positive: It was very nicely furnished and decor was really lovely. The beds were very comfortable and to a high standard. There were so many extras we did not expect, such as hand soap, toilet roll and kitchen condiments provided. Location of this property is great if you are wanting to explore the area. There are some lovely walks, especially loved our adventure to Elberry Cove (quite steep hills and uneven ground) but worth it and dog friendly!

Negative: The WiFi was not very good at times and on occasion meant we could not watch what we wanted on the tv on Netflix/Youtube. The garden was not really that useable, it is quite detached from the property as you have to go out of the front door and then in a side gate. This meant we had to put our dog on a lead every time they wanted to go out to get to the garden or they could get onto the road coming out the front door. It did have a table and chairs that had definitely not been used in a long time and needed a clean, but wouldn’t have been very pleasant to sit out with just a small strip of fake grass. That said we didn’t actually book this property to sit out in the garden because we were out most of the time. There is also a small green 100 yards away that you can walk your dogs on.

Summary: We had a super, comfortable stay, the location of this property suited us well.

Positive: The property was immaculate and the attention to detail was second to none, we did not want for anything. The location was incredible and within walking distance of Brixham. Overall we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back. Thanks Swallows Cottage!
