Positive: Had a wonderful two days at Manukan island. The resort is in a beautiful spot, one is immersed in nature. The resort has a separate beach to the beach used by day visitors, there were plenty of shaded loungers. The snorkeling was exceptional, we brought our own equipment. The food at the restaurant was nice, prices around 30-60 myr per dish for lunch/dinner, breakfast was included and was delicious.

Negative: I would appreciate more information about the boat transfer before booking. The room description says that boat transfer is included but the boat is only at scheduled times, otherwise one has to pay quite a lot for a private transfer. The earliest boat to leave the island was 12 pm, the latest boat to get to the island was 3:30 pm. I did raise to the reception team that I wasn't sure we'd make the afternoon transfer to the resort as our flight was landing in KK in the afternoon and they kindly offered to wait for us for up to an hour (which eventually wasn't necessary) Many reviews also bring up the litter issue. It isn't that bad, but there's quite a lot of trash on the edges of the beach. I didn't see any staff clear those areas. The sunset spot at the tip of the island was particularly bad and the bins there were overfilling.

Positive: It’s a beautiful location! The Hillside Villa was absolutely fabulous. The bed soooo comfortable and the pillows great. We slept in heaven 🥰 The private beach of the hotel was close to our Villa. And we had a lovely view over the waterfront. The food in the restaurant was really good. We loved the live music aswell. We enjoyed to watch the Monitor lizards passing by the Villa. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The transfer was really well organised aswell as everything else from the hotel. All in all we had an amazing stay and would have loved to stay longer! Thank you!

Negative: Be aware that there can be a lot of day turists around, but it’s really well organised and the staff takes a lot of attention that the hotel facilities are not used by them. Staying in the hillside villa you didn’t really see the day turists. Unfortunately some turists are ignorant and leave their rubbish around, the staff is trying their best to remove it and keep the island clean.

Positive: Manukan Island i extremely beautiful, and they are doing a great job to take care of the corals, and the safety of people. Our Lodge were clean and nice, and service worked absolutely perfect. We had our 25th anniversary and they celebrated us with surprise breakfast on the waterfront ❤️🌺 My husband got ill some days before we arrived, and when it got worse the resort manager Eva followed us to hospital and stayed the hole day, and called friends so we had a new hotel five minutes from the hospital. She was so unbelievable helpful and caring. 😍❤️ All staff was helpful, one took our luggage by his own car so it was easy when we were under distress. All in all an excellent help and support.

Positive: The location and villa were both stunning. Snorkelling off the beach was excellent. The lunch menu was very good. Our hillside villa was incredible.

Negative: Sometimes, the service was slow. We had to wait an hour for our bags to be delivered, even though we were willing to take them ourselves.The food descriptions needed a little more detail, and the menu was limited. The jetty was very busy

Positive: Excellent Staff, rooms very comfortable. Good restaurant. Good attempt at making sure Day trippers do not disturb hotel guests. Lots of Hotel Guest only areas. Staff did an excellent job of constantly picking up rubbush thrown around by day tourists dispite there being a lot of bins present.

Negative: Only beer or wine at restaurant. Day tours discarding their rubish where ever the pleased.
