Positive: Stoke Surf Hostel is an absolute gem nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of Basque Country. If you're looking for a place with great vibes, social atmosphere, and fun, this is the spot! It's not a 5-star resort, but honestly, the good energy and community more than make up for it. Every day you can join in for yoga sessions, hang out with fellow travelers, and end the day with awesome communal dinners. They have a ping pong table too! Speaking of which, Anna, the hostel manager, is a legend—super friendly and always around to help out and she absolutely slays at ping pong! Don't say I didn't warn you if you challenge her ;) This is the hostel you want to go to if you're looking to make new friends and get out of the city!

Positive: The food was tasty and abundant, upbeat surfer vibes, amazing surroundings, leaves little to wish for.

Negative: The bathroom facilities were adequate but going through the rain to get to them was annoying.

Positive: Great staff with good energy. Good for young people who don’t mind roughing it a bit. Upbeat party atmosphere 24/7.

Negative: Facilities are substandard for the price - 27 people in one cramped dorm, for example. Only 2 toilets/bathrooms for the whole hostel. Located in a town very out of the way with limited transport - luckily they offer various shuttle services but you are charged extra for them. Food was average with breakfast that would be unsatisfactory for a whole day of surfing.

Summary: Good vibes but not the most comfortable stay.
