Summary: Lovely, well equipped house. Peaceful location. Large pool that is heated. Pretty area with vines and sunflowers. Lovely places to visit within easy driving distance. Quiet villages nearby with bakers and some restaurants within 10 mins drive. Easy, relaxing holiday.

Summary: We spent a week in Saint Germain Du Seudre in early July 2018. The location is rural and the house is set in beautiful countryside. The nearest town is a 5 minute drive away or it is 10 minutes drive to Gemozac which has restaurants, supermarkets, a yummy bakery and other local amenities. There is lots to do in the local area. Bordeaux is well worth a visit for its shopping, architecture and history. Jonzac has a very good restaurant called Le Coq D’Or, so good in fact that we chose to go back twice in two days!! We also visited Cognac where we went on the Hennessey Cognac tour, Saintes and Talmont. A wine tour is a must and we would recommend Chateau Marquis De Vauban for quality and price. Overall, we enjoyed the area and will be coming back to Bordeaux again.

Summary: Alex and I had a wonderfully relaxing holiday in June 2018. Everything was as described and the property was perfect. The courtyard was secluded, private and perfect for al fresco dining. With the pool on the doorstep, it couldn’t be better. Inside was well laid out and very comfy. There was very good WiFi, which is something most people need. Locally there are lots of things to do. Pons has a lovely cafe francaise for evening meals. Talmont has a number of lovely restaurants. Nearby Royan has numerous good beaches and a day trip to Bordeaux, and St Emillion are a must. All in all I would highly recommend this place. 5*

Summary: The villa was everything we had hoped it would be: stylish, clean, and comfortable. And the courtyard complemented the house perfectly - the stone walls, decking, and rattan furniture make for a great combination especially when set beneath a neat blue sky reflected in the cool blue pool. The countryside immediately surrounding the villa was beyond expectation too: sunflower fields, vineyards, and corn fields. It made for a wonderful bicycle ride to the local bakers to collect the morning pastries while others were still waking up - the availability of the bikes helped immensely in this regard! Hands down the best holiday home we have rented since we began doing so some eight or more years ago. We would happily book again. Thanks Rebecca. Thanks Adrian - from Tim, Funda, & Nurten.

Summary: We had a wonderful holiday, the gite was lovely with plenty of room and very well stocked out with everything you could need and on our arrival there was a small welcome pack which was much appreciated. The pool was fantastic and our children really made good use of it. The Gite is not far from Gemozac which is a lovely little town with restaurant, supermarkets etc. We were also only about half an hour from the coast. We would absolutely recommend this gite and we would have no hesitation in booking to stay again.

Summary: We had a great holiday here with a small child and various aunts and grandparents. The living room leads straight out to a big deck area, so our toddler could go in and out easily. The swimming pool was great, big enough to swim in properly. All the rooms were nicely done out and there's plenty of space. It's very quiet, but Gemozac is only a few minutes up the road so you can pop out to the usual french shops, and there's a Super-U supermarket not far off too.

Summary: We loved our stay at Roussillon, the house is bright and spacious. In our group there were four adults, four teenagers and one kid. The swimming pool is superb and was a instant hit with everyone. The patio is big and spacious and ideal for breakfast by the pool and barbecues at night. The property was clean and well cared for. Location is very good, in the countryside but a short distance to the beach. We took trips to Talmont, Royan, Pons, Gironde and Bordaux. There was only one thing the kids complained about and that was the lack off wi-fi. Overall we loved our stay and would recomment it highly. Alex

Summary: We had a fantastic week at 3 Roussillon in September 2012. We were a group of 7 adults (aged from 20s to 50s) and one baby. All of us agreed that the house was brilliant. It's a lovely spacious house with loads of character. The bedrooms are big and all ensuite with spotless bathrooms, windows with shutters and lovely sunlight in the mornings. There are towel heaters in the bathrooms which actually work (a rarity in my experience!). The pool area is very private and is not overlooked, and it's nicely decked. There are a few comfy sun loungers and a big parasol for shade. The kitchen is very well-equipped with everything you'd need in terms of dishes, utensils, dishwasher etc. Two lovely big dining areas, indoor and outdoor, and lounging areas inside and outside too, which meant that people weren't on top of each other. The decor is very nice and neutral and the house is finished to a high standard throughout. It's about a 7 minute drive into the small town of Gemozac for boulangerie, supermarket etc. There are loads of lovely quiet country roads for walking, jogging or cycling, and there are bikes at the house which are in reasonable nick. Within an hour's drive there are all sorts of interesting towns and villages for day trips or half-day trips. There are only a couple of slightly negative things I would say about the house: 1. the stairs are very steep and the steps are shallow, so carrying a baby up and down was a biot hair raising! One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor, which would be much more suitable for anyone with mobility issues. 2. Some of the beds were a little uncomfortable 3. No insect screens on the windows, so on the very hot nights when we simply had to open the shutters, we got bitten by mosquitos. These are minor issues however, overall we had a wonderful stay.

Summary: The photographs and description of this property do not do it justice, It is wonderful both inside and outside !!!, the fixtures and fittings are first class and the pool and decking area superb !!!. The property is situated down a private lane and is lovely and quiet surrounded by fields of sun flowers and vineyards, it is perfectly placed for exploring the area which has lots to offer. The decking area was fully enclosed and private and very safe for children of all ages to play safely, we had a 17 year old and a 7 month old (niece) with us and both seemed to enjoy the area equally. We would recommend this property to anybody wanting a very comfy private base to either explore the area or to just relax.

Summary: This property was all we could have hoped for, for the group that we were. There was myself, my wife, two sons, one daughter, one son-in-law, one daughter-in-law and two grandsons aged 3 & 5. Well furnished and very clean property with four lovely en-suite bedrooms. Totally secluded pool and BBQ area, peaceful location in the countryside but near to the coast and the Gironde estuary and some lovely towns in the country like Saintes and Cognac. We went in July 2010, the weather was wonderful and the biggest problem we had was to get the grandchildren out of the pool so that we could visiting. Would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives. The owners recommendations of restaurants and places to visit was very helpful.
