A waterfront estate set apart from the rest, offering something unique that’s hard to find on Maryland’s eastern shore. Sunset Lodge offers a refreshing new twist on how to vacation! We are a privately owned 58-acre estate located on the Chesapeake Bay offering a private beach, stunning waterfront views and picturesque sunsets every evening. This estate provides the ultimate tranquility and privacy that is hard to find. A long, secluded driveway leads the way to a large house sitting just yards from the water's edge.
This newly updated 5,000 square foot house has 7 large windows facing the bay, providing waterfront views from both ends of the house. There are 6 spacious bedrooms, including two master bedrooms. An open floorplan takes you from the kitchen and dining area to the living room and onto a spacious porch, extending the living space for entertainment or the ultimate place to relax. For entertainment the game room has a pool table, TV and board games. The bar room provides extra comfy seating for our guests, with a TV and views to die for. Other favorite past times are eating locally caught steamed crabs, taking walks along the beach, collecting sea glass, swimming in the bay, relaxing and watching the regattas pass by in front of a captivating sunset.
The town of Rock Hall, known as the “Pearl of the Chesapeake”, made “Southern Livings” Best of the South Small Towns list. This historic waterman’s town, established in 1706, is an exceptional place to experience the bay for crabbing, fishing, hunting, bird watching and boating.

Summary: This house was simply amazing. It was somehow spacious and cozy all at the same time. There was ample seating for our large group both at the indoor dining table and the one on the covered porch. The pool table was a huge hit as was the porch for relaxing/bird watching and the beautiful, secluded beach. Everyone absolutely loved this place, we all agreed that it was even more impressive than the photos, and are already making plans to return next year!

Summary: Rented the house for a place for my family (10 adults ans 3 children). House was amazing. Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and lounge areas for everyone to enjoy. If you didn't like what was on the TV, simply go to another room and turn on a different TV. We were supplied with a pool table, boxes of games, cards and our own private beach, including chairs. could not have found a better place to stay and within a couple of miles to town and the wedding.

Summary: Our multigenerational families enjoyed a glorious Memorial Day weekend and big birthday celebration at Sunset Lodge. We can’t recommend it too highly for anyone looking for a private, spacious site right on the water. The kids, ages 4-10, spent most of the daylight hours swimming in the bay. Dinners on the screened in porch were delightful. Everything was as advertised. We all want to come back!

Summary: We spent a week at this property with our adult children and their families including four children under age six. We all absolutely loved our time at Sunset Lodge. The house is incredibly spacious with plenty of room to congregate or to spread out. The bedrooms are large and extremely comfortable. The kitchen is spacious and it was easy for our crowd to cook and eat in. We loved the beach and spent long days there. The back porch is huge and a great viewing spot for the eagles that fly by. The property manager, Emily was easy to contact and very helpful. We are already talking about a return trip next summer.

Summary: We have been making an annual trip to Rock Hall for years, and this was our first time at Sunset Lodge, it won't be our last. The home is spacious and beautifully furnished. The view of the bay is spectacular, with beautiful sunsets. We enjoyed the large yard, playing lawn games, grilling and firepit. Grandson really loved the beach. Counting down the days until our return.
