Positive: Amazing view of the volcano. Great value with breakfast included too. Lots of bird life around in the morning. Helpful host!
Negative: The track up to the site is best suited to 4x4. I did receive an email to that effect but, as I didn't have an Internet connection, I didn't read it until after my boyfriend got our little hire car stuck on the track. Fortunately our elderly host was more than happy to show him how to drive and got it up there! 🤣
Summary: All about the view...but park at the bottom of the track if you don't have 4wd 👍

Positive: Beautiful location, very nice views of the lake and vulcano Cozy room Everything was clean (room and shared bathroom) Complete breakfast (rice/beans, eggs, platano)
Negative: A bit too rustic 30min away from la fortuna, so not the best option if you are on a tight schedule. Cold water The owner shares his kitchen with the guests (nice of him, but limits its use a bit)
Summary: Beautiful views but a bit too far

Positive: I liked the view, the attention of the owner, always willing to give the best information and help, the breakfast is very good and despite the simple location, everything was very clean.
Negative: The location is a bit complex, as at night after 6 p.m. you lose visibility and access, and i7t's not easy and dark. But it's a good price for a clean, warm bed and a great breakfast.
Summary: Good price for a clean, warm bed and a great breakfast

Positive: Such a beautiful place! Unfortunately it was raining when I was there so the volcano was covered in clouds. Peaceful, calm environment, a comfy bed and the most adorable cats and dogs. Isaias was super friendly and prepared delicious breakfast in the morning.
Summary: Excellent

Positive: It was absolutely incredible and such a beautiful view! The breakfast and authenticity was our favorite!
Negative: It is a little difficult to find since Waze says it is across the lake. But go through El Castillo and soon after the pavement ends you will see a sign!
