Positive: Great location. Very peaceful, comfortable and perfect outside area for exercising our very small dogs. The cottage had everything you could want. There were some delicious scones with jam and clotted cream awaiting us upon arrival - yummy! We were staying between Christmas and New Year so there was a Christmas tree outside the front window and one inside, plus decorations, which was a lovely festive touch.

Negative: The microwave was in rather a high position for us, as both my husband and I are both on the short side. I had to reach up over my head to put in and take out item which could have resulted in hot fluid tipping on my head. The potholes down the farm track leading to the property could do with filling in!

Summary: It was an ideal base for visiting family and friends and great for the dogs too.

Positive: If you have dogs the location is fantastic. The rear yard is smallish with flags but it doesn't matter as there is an expanse of front yard leading into fields. The place was spotless, hosts were excellent, shower was great.

Negative: Wifi was struggling with streaming a movie - which I gather is an issue across the region. Was fine for maps and email though. Normal TV worked too.

Summary: Great place to stay especially if you have dogs.

Positive: I loved being in a very quiet location. The host came to meet me on arrival, but then left me alone, which I liked. All the basics were provided in the kitchen, including some freshly made scones with cream and jam. I was only in the property to sleep for two nights, so didn't have a chance to enjoy the surrounding beautiful countryside. Comfy sofa to sit on and work or watch tv. Everything was very clear with good instructions written down. Warm and everything that you needed was there. Good shower and plenty of space. Great parking right outside the door. Lots of space to take your dog out for a wee before bed with an automatic light and torches provided. Well planned and thought out. Would definitely recommend! *****

Negative: The bar stalls need to be oiled!! Ha Ha - only a slight complaint! The noise that they made scared my dog :) I thought the description on Booking.com didn't give it enough justice - the photo implied that you were in the middle of a town, not a rural location. It was probably too good for me to stay on my own, but it made my trip! I'll hopefully be back.
