Positive: The staff especially captain jack very informative and lots of fun with very good English most other staff struggle with English however.

Negative: The bathroom needed some maintenance in or triple single room The trip was over priced from what I heard and found later after taking the trip.

Positive: Good size cabin with ensuite. Air conditioned and fan. Water. Staff and tour guides were great especially Brian and Mickey. Thoughtful and interesting itinerary. Helped with bags and getting on and off tenders. Fun making fresh Spring rolls, happy hour in the evening. Ferry and bus schedules coordinated for return trip back to Hanoi. Lots of meals with various dishes including prawns and oysters. Small group of passengers which was great. Went to places not crowded with other boats. Staff tried hard to make our trip memorable.

Negative: Hard mattress uncomfortable. No remote for air-conditioner so had to keep asking to turn it off or on. Not enough toilet paper. Shower nozzle broken which was replaced. No hair dryer. Meals not hot barely warm. Had to keep asking for milk for coffee only put out a tiny jug. Salt and sugar containers needed filling. Not much attention to detail. Food wastage too much for the number of people. Food was good but not above average. Paid $500 for 2 nights, 3 days which was a bit overpriced. Paid more for the shuttle bus, not included.

Positive: - Value (in comparison to other Cruises). We paid €100 per person for 1 night. Other Cruises can cost 3 x this amount. For ours, we received (in order) a lunch on arrival, kayaking, a swimming spot, spring-roll tutorial, dinner, karaoke, breakfast, day-trip into main island, lunch. If you’re intent on doing a Cruise, paying 3 x more will merely result in slightly nicer food and slightly nicer facilities - this is the best value! - Brian, our guide, was fantastic! He was funny, accommodating to our needs, and understood that the overall group was mainly 20’s and 30’s, so he made sure to integrate everyone, and got everyone involved in karaoke! We were all good friends by the time we got off the boat! - The bar onboard was good-ish value. €1.50 beer and €4 cocktails. - The food was plentiful and pretty tasty! - The rooms were basic but fine!

Negative: - The trash in the water! Yes, technically this is not the issue of the Cruise, but it was truly shocking the amount of trash in the water. It had an overall impact on our enjoyment of the trip. Styrofoam, bottles, plastic, bags, oil, etc. It really was disgraceful, and not something you see in the tourism photos! Interestingly, the water in the port at the beginning is quite clean, so you only see the trash when the boat gets going in to the Bay. - It can be a relatively tough journey from Hanoi. They picked us up from our Hanoi hotel for an additional $10 per person each way. It’s a 3-hour bus, 5-minute walk to a ferry, 20-minute ferry (very crowded!), finally a 20-minute bus to our boat. Overall, our journey was 6 hours from hotel to boat, which in the heat and rain can be tough.
