Positive: Excellent location. Clean & comfortable . Chris was a great host who went out of his way to ensure we had a great stay in Amsterdam

Negative: Previous reviews have mentioned the steep stairs which are very common in these beautiful old buildings. No problems though, Chris met us and took our bags up and down when we left.

Positive: The host, Chris, was wonderful. He has provided lots of extra touches to make the room special. The location is excellent. It is very quiet at night too. Interesting to stay in a building built in 1650. It's nice to have a mini kitchenette! Great shower too!

Negative: Being in a 1650 building, the room is quite small. Keep in mind, no closet for your luggage. There are some shelves and hooks which help. Very steep stairs too but good hand rails and Chris will help you with your luggage!

Positive: Chris was very welcoming. The location was very convenient for central Amsterdam.

Negative: It was clear that staying in Amsterdam would be expensive. I choose Sunflower thinking at least we would be getting a luxury experience and I decided to relax about the cost. But there is no getting away from the point that this is two rooms above a shop, up very steep stairs, and no breakfast.

Summary: Friendly but expensive.

Positive: Lovely accommodation centrally located in Amsterdam. Our host was very welcoming and provided good information about Amsterdam. The room was clean and comfortable and well presented. Nice touch of the beers and juice in the fridge. We were grateful for the umbrellas on a stormy night

Negative: Not a negative but a note, the stairs are very steep as you are in a traditional Dutch house. Our host assisted us with carrying our bags up on our arrival which was helpful.
