Positive: We stayed one week and we loved it. Yvonne (the owner) is a lovely and generous person, and she put effort into ensuring that we had a good experience. The supplies were good quality and well stocked. The location has convenient bus access. Near parks and the beach. This was the nicest place that we stayed at in New Zealand. It is just a short walk to nearby parks, beaches, bakeries, and grocery stores. The whole time, you are surrounded by scenic views. Just across the street is the southern shore - a semi-private beach where you can have a picnic in shaded enclaves above blue waters. A short walk in the other direction takes you to the north shore - a bigger beach full of people, boats, and sleepy dogs, enjoying the bright sunshine. Winter or summer, this place is always wonderful. We highly recommend Sundown Palms for a relaxing stay. :)
