Positive: Amazing location with great views. The staff was really kind and the host is a great chef in the kitchen. It was new years eve and the staff of the property organized a mindblowing firework for us. It could not be better. We had 2 great nights with them.

Positive: Lovely peaceful accommodation. Great hosts, delicious breakfast. Short easy walk into Habarana for local restaurants and supermarket and the pool was refreshing. Amazing restaurant (lake house kitchen) just down the street.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Positive: We had an amazing stay. The view was lovely. As wel as the staff. They were very kind and welcoming. We had dinner at the stay and it is one of the best dinners we had in Sri Lanka, nice local food. The room was amazing, had everything you need and more. We took a swim in the amazing infinity pool. If we wanted to go somewhere they always helped us.

Negative: Nothing, we would really recommend it.

Positive: Our stay at Sundown Lake was fantastic. Sasini and the staff there were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. We stayed for two nights with full board which I would very much recommend as the food was absolutely delicious, with both breakfast and dinner being some of the tastiest food we had in Sri Lanka. The hotel is beautiful, with spacious and clean rooms and a great pool overlooking the lake. You have easy access to Habarana village for shops or other food options, and plenty of options for tours of the nearby national parks for safari. Do not hesitate to book!

Positive: We had an amazing stay at the Sundown Lake Hotel! The owners were very supportive, kind and just lovely people. The view from every cabin down to the lake is great and the very clean pool area makes it even easier to enjoy the stay. The breakfast is very nice - you‘ll get some traditional Sri Lankan breakfast dishes too. We also had dinner every night and it was some of the best food we had on our whole trip in Sri Lanka. We really enjoyed our stay and were sad to leave this beautiful place! Thank you to Sasini, Anjana and Mahinda for everything!

Positive: The staff were very friendly and helpful. Sasini was excellent in going out of her way to assist with arranging a massage and transport as well as a packed lunch for breakfast at late notice for a morning Safari. Also, the food that Sasini cooked, especially for dinner was some of the best food we've had and was excellent value for money.

Negative: It could be quite noisy at night in the room when any wind blew, we think this because of the design/material of the roof.

Positive: What a special place this is to stay in, it was absolutely perfect. The view from the bungalow overlooking the pool with the lake in the background is fabulous, an incredibly relaxing place to stay. One of the nicest pools to swim in. Location is fantastic for enjoying a safari, or walking down to the local restaurant for dinner at the lake. We really enjoyed the breakfast provided each morning, sampling different Sri Lanka breads and pastries, the freshest fruit and equally delicious coffee. We also enjoyed a beautiful Sri Lankan dinner at sunset lovingly prepared by Sasini which I would highly recommend. Wished we could have stayed longer.
