Positive: Perfect location for tourism, many walkable destinations and restaurants galore. Some street noise but thick doors to balcony muffled most of it--bring earplugs. (Madrid, where I've lived, is noisy, if you want to be central, you'll have to put up with it). Amenities were excellent, including plenty of outlets, drawers (missing now from so many hotel rooms), good linen, adequate kitchen supplies, washer/dryer (a bit complicated), small dishwasher, plenty of shelving in bathroom. LOTS of hangers, including wooden ones, and not attached to the rail. The unit was not at all cheap, tacky, dark, or up flights of stairs as these types of rentals often are. Our place was very bright, with blackout curtains. An issue in our unit (not related to cleanliness) required us to vacate but we were given a larger unit right next door immediately. 24 hour (I think) market and a pharmacy a few doors away. Lots of cabs at nearby plaza.

Negative: While I rarely want a bathrobe in a hotel room, in a suite we could have used them. I'm also not a fan of shower soap and shampoo combined, would prefer one of each and conditioner. Deeper bowls for cereals would be useful. The space provided for luggage storage after we checked out was a bit awkward to use. Be aware that after checkout, with luggage stored temporarily, you'll need to find an activity to fill your time as in the small lobby there is nowhere to sit.

Positive: The owner, Joaquin, was so nice and communicated well. He was kind enough to wait with our suitcases as we went to park our car and then came up with us to enter the apartment. The apartment was modern with a luxurious touch (zoom-faced mirror, towel warmer, embroidered sheets that smelled clean...). You are near Plaza Santa Ana in the Barrio de las Letras, which is busy so prepare for some noise.

Positive: The location was excellent for most of Madrid experiences such as Puerta Del Sol, the Prado, Plaza Mayor etc. The facilities were also very good, including the bed. The property was exceptionally clean. There is also a Carrefour Express supermarket 30 metres away which sold most things you would need. Also there is a pharmacy very close.

Negative: Although the appliances in the kitchen were very good, there were little cooking utensils which was a shame - no tongs, no kitchen knife, vegetable peeler and other basic items. Also due to the proximity of a night club in the street, street noise could be an issue in the early morning hours.

Summary: Very comfortable and well located appartment. The facilities are generally excellent.

Positive: The location is great and the apartment is exactly as the photos show. It is modern and clean. A few times I heard noise from the street but it never interrupted my sleep.

Negative: The elevator was tiny so it took multiple trips with our luggage.

Summary: Perfect apartment for a couple or small family to walk to Madrid’s attractions and the Metro station.

Positive: Location is good, comfortable bed, additional queen couch bed. Renovated bathroom.

Negative: We were 3 people and we stayed there for 4 days. Despite mentioned on the appartment descriptions, we were given minimal toiletries were provided, we were given very small 6 tubes of all in one liquid (shower gel/ shampoo/ conditioner) for 3 people for 4 days stay. The hand soap was almost empty. 2 laundry pods were provided. Host could not understand or speak English. No moisturizer, no daily room cleaning!!

Summary: Reasonable but need to upgrade the toiletries!!
