Summary: Large house in a dreamy location near Stonington. Direct access to water on private frontage. Great beach a short walk away and Stonington is really fabulous. Deer regularly in the garden an added delight. Foghorn from nearby lighthouse is much loved by the locals but may not be ideal for light sleepers as it goes off every 15 seconds. Overall a brilliant place.

Summary: This property was BEAUTIFUL, spotless, and had everything we needed once at the house. The house was super cozy and comfortable, literally a slice of heaven. Only issues were getting to the house, a lot of ppl got lost on their way down walker point road due to incorrect GPS, some more apparent signage would be super helpful. The lockbox was also a little finicky.

Summary: Such a spectaular home! Fantastic furnishings and decor. Breathtaking views. Our extended family of 10 had plenty of room to relax and gather. We kayaked, hiked, took a day trip to Acadia, enjoyed the most delicious lobster and more! Thank you!

Summary: This property is as gorgeous as the photos displayed on the site. The house is spacious and very well appointed and sits right on the rocky Maine coast. It was perfect for our family of 7 adults and 2 kids. Stonington is a sweet location. Peaceful and just enough restaurants and shops to browse and dine out. I have never felt so relaxed on a vacation. Thank you Emilie for providing a perfect backdrop for us to enjoy ourselves.

Summary: Great location for a relaxing secluded vacation. Plenty of outdoor activities to do on the island. Grocery prices seemed more than reasonable at local markets. WiFi was provided and good—used that as Verizon service did not seem very fast/available. House was well stocked for cooking utensils and dishes so eating at rental was easily accomplished. Ice machine was a plus for filling cooler for any full day trips we embarked upon. If desiring to go to Acadia frequently the drive (about 1.5 hours) can become a pain; however, this allowed us to avoid the hustle and sometimes annoyance of a straight tourist locale. The drive also allowed for visiting other towns and there were plenty of stops for food along the way. Again if booking sunrise in Acadia or early activities in Bar Harbor area wake up time can be quite early from this locale. Emilie (host) is super easy to get ahold of if you have questions or concerns. She sent an email/text the morning before arrival that detailed things within the home along with how to gain entry. Upon arrival there is a book of more info for the home and the area. Road to home is a shared unpaved road…provides ample seclusion for the homes sharing the road. Transporting garbage and recycling is easy once you understand the process—opened at 8:30 which made the departure time more hectic than desired. Overall an enjoyable stay and would recommend! Would be great for larger families as ample space to spread out. Thanks again!

Summary: This is a clean (fairly new build), spacious and lovely home overlooking a rocky oceanfront outcrop. We appreciated the large kitchen for our family of nine, where we prepared a great lobster dinner from the local fish market’s fresh seafood. The bathrooms were large, and the Frette towels were a treat. 1.5 hours from Bangor airport and about the same distance to Acadia National Park. Remote and very private location.

Summary: We absolutely loved staying at this home in Stonington. The home is spacious, well furnished & equipped, and perfectly situated near the water. We enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding from right off the property. There are lots of small islands to explore from here and Sand Beach is a short walk or paddle away. The tides are massive so you'll want to plan your outings. Emilie was a great host, responsive and helpful. I'd love to come back to this home again someday. The only down side of our trip was that it was foggy while we stayed here and the fog horn, which I think is on Mark Island, sounded every 15 seconds for the entirety of our stay. At some point it became white noise to us though, I think you should be ready for this if you encounter foggy conditions. Otherwise, everything was just amazing. This home is a beautiful as it looks in the listing. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us Emilie. Our family had an amazing time together there.

Summary: We were delighted with our magical place. It was spacious and worked beautifully in the rainy weather as well as the sunny. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals for six. There were plenty of linens. The fireplace made it cozy when it was cool and the screened windows and doors allowed for nice ventilation when it was warm. Every room looked out on the water and the deck allowed us to sit outside. There was a nice market nearby, within walking distance, where we found quite adequate supplies for dining and also picked up things we needed such as ground coffee, paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher soap, and bar soap. As mentioned previously there were no curtains or shades on the windows but it didn’t matter as we enjoyed rising with the sun. We loved the short walk down to the waters edge where sunset was spectacularly beautiful. The internet and televisions worked perfectly for us. It was indeed a heavenly experience and we hope we can return next year and maybe even the following years. We feel full of gratitude.
