Summary: We spent four nights out here in April. Sadly the weather didn’t cooperate for us so most of the time we were inside. This location is excellent. We enjoyed the action at the bird feeders. The cabin had everything you need and then some. Beautiful and peaceful it was just what we were looking for. There is an excellent fire pit and lots of wood. Can’t wait to return.

Summary: We were a group of adult friends and one baby, away for a winter weekend reunion. We had a wonderful stay! Cozy, great kitchen to cook in, comfortable beds. We had a couple nice walks along the frozen lake. The host was friendly and responsive.

Summary: We rented the cottage in January as a base for winter outdoor activities. The cottage space is large and the kitchen is well equipped. The beds were comfortable. The cottage is definitely more worn and dated than the photos would indicate, with the exception of the bathroom. The well water is drinkable but we found it had a high amount of sediment in it.The coffeemaker and kettle desperately need to be descaled. The communication with the host was excellent. Luiza responded promptly to any questions. There is quite a significant climb and distance up and down from the cottage to the lake. We enjoyed cross country skiing on the lake and even skated around the lake when there was a small amount of snow on it. It's an interesting lake to explore with many islands and bays. Warning: If you arrive in winter and are coming from the north (and not on the 401 as the host's directions indicate) DO NOT take Little Long Lake Rd. It is not maintained in winter, has some hills where you cannot see who is coming on the very narrow road, and there is not really room to pass anyone coming the other way. There were also a ton of potholes, so I wouldn't take it during warm weather either. We had planned to visit Frontenac Provincial Park but because we didn't want to take that road, it would have taken a very long time to get there so we did not. We enjoyed walking along the Cataraqui Trail (parked at Perth Rd) and also visited the Little Catarqui Creek Conservation Area.

Summary: We gathered for a family Christmas and the place could not be more perfect. It was beautiful scenery and so peaceful. The host was amazing and there was great communication. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Summary: We rented this cottage because we were looking for a place that could house us all for a reasonable cost. The location wasn’t ideal but the price was closer to our budget to we went for it. It was a lovely place for 4 adults and a 6 year old. The place was lovely and we were all quite comfortable. My stepson kept us warm using the wood stove and everyone had their own space. Anything we needed was available so we didn’t have to worry about anything besides food. The cabin was a Little on the rustic side as expected but the locations and the views were spectacular. The purpose of our trip from Newfoundland was to support a sick mother/grandmother/ great-grandmother so we didn’t get to spend as much time at the cabin as we would have hoped. But having this place to come back to at the end of a long day with its silence and beauty was a huge bonus. Huge thank you to Luiza for her flexibility and willingness to accommodate our needs as we were unsure how long we would need to stay. Much appreciated, thank you! Summary: This is the second time that my family has stayed at this lovely cliffside cottage. The host is warm and welcoming. They respond immediately to messages. The house is clean and well appointed. The kitchen is large and bright. The bedrooms are cozy. The setting is stunning with views up and down the lake from the front windows. You can sit for hours and watch the light on the lake change or count the birds at the various bird feeders. We took full advantage of the hiking trail that winds its’ way through the area. We rent a cottage every Thanksgiving and it unanimous that this was our favourite. Thank you!!
