Positive: A gorgeous place that has been lovingly renovated with well considered details. We had a fantastic time and really enjoyed sitting in the garden as well enjoying the apartment!

Negative: Nothing to complain about.

Summary: A perfect place to get away from it all with all the conveniences one could ask for in a residence.

Positive: The location is very nice, peaceful and very scenic. The property has a large garden=n that the owners let you use. Whilst the location is scenic, it is not far to the City of Arhus which has lots to explore, as well as only an hour away from some great attractions such as Randers Zoo, Djur Sommerland (An excellent theme park that includes a Waterpark as well as some great thrill rides. Local facilities are only 10 mins away for food shopping and snack food etc. The apartment is on the whole, nice (see below for some bad points) and the beds, whilst not actually doubles (2 singles pushed together) are actually very comfortable, as is the lounge and breakfast area. Despite my negative comments below, we DID enjoy our stay and would recommend as long as people know what to expect, and the potential hidden extra costs.

Negative: The booking process was annoying and the information on Booking.com is not complete. For Brits traveling the massive omission that is NOT on Booking.com is that Linen is not included, so you need to bring towels, sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases, which is an additional expense if you are flying and need the extra luggage. Also on the web site it says "No Credit Cards, Cash Only", which is totally wrong. The Booking was flagged as "Non-Refundable", and we did not find out about the "No Linen" until after we booked. We also could, not clarify with the owners if the "No Linen" was true or not, as the number given by Novasol did not work, and went to a Novalsol voicemail in Danish, that hung up after 5 seconds. We were not sure about the "No Linen", because the Photos on Booking.com show beds with Linen, but there was none when we arrived and I had to buy them locally at quite some cost. The apartment is a strange mix of good and bad. It sits above the ground floor which is occupied by the owners (who were very nice), so it's not totally private. The apartment looks like it has been refurbished, but in some places does not feel like it is finished yet, there are some wires hanging from the ceiling in some rooms. There are blinds on most of the windows, yet none in the toilet/Shower, which you can see into from the ground level where we park, as well as from a house across the way. We found it a little disturbing. On one occasion my daughter was standing up from the toilet and the male owner was outside and could see her and acknowledged her. The Kitchen area is actually very small and not much space to actually store any food you might buy. We were not using the cooker top, so all our food shopping was placed on top of that There are hidden extras on top of the cost, as mentioned the need for own linen and towels. Electricity is also not included.
