Positive: The place is cute and playfully decorated with a lot of life thrown into it. The owners were lovely and easy to speak to, and the location was very peaceful. I would happily come and stay again.

Negative: Just a minor thing. Upon arrival I was missing some knives to cook with, dishwasher liquid & a WiFi code. A quick visit to the owner's home (just opposite), and I finally had everything I needed.

Summary: Very cute, peaceful with easy going owners.

Positive: It’s bigger than it looks in the pictures, and could fit a family of up to 5. Easy parking and self contained Annex. Lots of toys for the kids, and they loved climbing up to the mezzanine floor. Location was excellent. There’s a playground for children 100m down the road.

Negative: The WiFi was a bit dodgy, but it did work in certain places in the property. Some neighbours fired up their Harley Davidson next door at around 5am in the morning on a Sunday.

Positive: The hosts are very very polite, the cottage has a lovely charm, it’s cosy and well equipped.

Negative: Unfortunately for our visit despite calling a few hours before and informing them we would be a bit late (we arrived at 9:45pm) when we eventually found the place (the pin they send you leads google maps on a wild goose chase) they were surprised we had arrived as they thought we’d cancelled. Some of the beds hadn’t been made and the host started making them when we arrived, there was plenty of left over rubbish still in the bin presumably from the last guests and I’m just hoping the other beds had been changed prior to our arrival. The WiFi that was supplied to us didn’t work at all, either the router was switched off or it’s too far away from the apartment to connect to, we tried 3 different devices to no avail. There is zero mobile phone service on O2, Three or Vodafone at the property (not their fault obviously) The final straw was the door, you have to lift the door quite a bit to lock and and unlock it, I was the only one who could open it, my wife tried to both lock and unlock it and was unable to.

Summary: Lovely cottage with potential but lack of preparation spoiled it a bit.

Positive: Bohemian theme of the house is nice. Lounge get good sun lights in the morning. Pretty quiet area. Lots of activities for kids, also has trampoline. Bedrooms are the loft which is only good for young families.

Negative: There were few things we didn't like of this property. First of all, I booked this looking at the reviews and most of them were saying good things and I booked it straight away. We were a group of 5 of which 2 were elderly (aged >70yrs). 1. BEDROOMS: The bedrooms are in a loft and the elderly couple couldn't use. There was a single bed available in the lounge though. So one of them had to sleep on the floor. Most importantly we couldn't find this information in the property description - it says all welcome to all age :-/ 2. WIFI: The wifi password provided was wrong and our phones were struggling to connect to its networks. We had to make several calls and texts to get this sorted. Even after sorting it out we couldn't use the wifi as it was not strong enough to get a continuous connection. 3. CLEANLINESS: The house wasn't cleaned or vacuumed properly. The rooms were dusty and had cobwebs too. We found food particles and makeup removal cotton near the bedside table. My daughter has dust allergy and poor girl struggled a lot during our stay there. She got wheezing and itchy and swollen eyes after the first night. So altogether we didn't enjoy our stay much.

Positive: Exceptional location for staying in with family! Kids play area is 3min walk down beautiful country lane, pub 7min walk. The area is super quiet. We have met the owner upon arrival, she was super nice and welcoming, allowed our children to use their trampoline and play around the main house. The property itself is a beautiful studio that has literally everything you need. From cutlery, bedding, appliances to toys, books and magazines. We will be definitely returning to this one.
