Positive: The hut itself is visually nice and the concept is interesting, especially if you are looking for something simple and close to nature. The surroundings are quiet and could be enjoyable with better setup and maintenance. The idea has potential, but it needs more attention to detail.

Negative: Basic expectations were not met. There was no electricity in the hut unless you figured out a hidden switch, which was not clearly explained. No toilet, bathroom, or fridge nearby, and accessing the house facilities required a long walk through fields with animal waste. Cleanliness was also an issue, as we found hair in the bed upon arrival.

Negative: Children constantly near us playing games, fixing this deliberately to be in proximity. The cutlery and pots weren’t clean. Bed wasn’t made.

Summary: Lovely area and hut. Shame the hut wasn’t cleaned properly and never saw the host.

Negative: Arriving in the dark, did struggle to locate the hut. Can do with some kind of lighting.

Positive: The location was very convenient, just a few minutes from the main road and close to lots of lovely hikes. The hut is very secluded, which is great for privacy, and it was very peaceful by the stream. The fire was necessary in the winter months, and after we got it going, the hut was extremely cosy. We paid extra for the hot tub, which was worth it; even in light rain, it was the highlight of our stay.

Negative: It doesn't have running water or a toilet by the hut, so you have to walk up to the main house, which was cumbersome in the rain and dark. It was a true glamping experience in the streamside hut, so if you aren't outdoorsy, you may struggle. It had rained, so the field was muddy, and we had to narrowly avoid sheep poo on the journey to and from the hut.

Summary: Both luxurious and outdoorsy. Book the hot tub!!!

Positive: The hut is perfectly equipped with camping supplies, a log fire and wood to keep you warm on colder nights. The hosts are very welcoming and had left us a basket with tea/ coffee, biscuits, marshmallows for toasting and a guide with local pubs for food. The location of the hut is very secluded, peaceful and quite meaning we had an amazing nights sleep. The bed is also very comfy.
