Positive: Stayed there for an impromptu birthday weekend. So pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, and spacious. The bathroom was clean with plenty of clean towels. The pool was down during our stay. I assured my girls that it's a good thing because they care about keeping it maintained and clean. Over all 10 out of 10! We will be back!

Negative: The beds were a bit small it seemed but comfy!

Positive: The staff was very pleasant and helpful, the decor was warming like you were in the wilderness, and I enjoyed the hotel bar for a night cap.

Negative: Overall cleanliness was great, besides for the bathroom sink. The plunge in the sink was entirely black and the sink would fill up with water and not drain. It was disgusting to say the least when the plunge was pulled.

Summary: I see why Harrison Ford chooses Stony Creek for his Galena getaway.

Positive: Breakfast was great! The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The front desk lady was very nice and explained all of the amenities the hotel had and the breakfast hours. Breakfast had a great selection of hot and cold items, and the coffee was very good. Extremely nice and well kept hotel. Location was great, very close to Galena without the excessive Galena prices. Definitely will stay again!

Negative: The inside was older, log cabin style, which was fine. The exterior must have been remodeled and sided to look more modern. So we were a little surprised with the style of the interior, but it was actually kind of cozy.

Summary: Great location, very clean and friendly staff.
