Summary: I spent all of July and August at Sean’s Lodge at Stonepark and I loved every minute of it. The Lodge was fully equipped with everything I could possibly need to have a comfortable stay and Sean was incredibly kind and helpful. The lodge was quiet and in a beautiful country location but only a 20 minute drive to Portumna and a 30 minute drive to Nenagh. I would definitely love to stay at the Lodge again. 10/10

Summary: I was living in the lodge for 2,5 months - in the heart of Ballinderry but in the middle of wild Ireland. What can I say? Lovely and caring host, perfect lodge (comfortable, new equipment), good internet and the best village live that you can have. Looking forward to my next visit there.

Summary: The building is in a fairly spacious caravan park, but is not a caravan...two ensuite good sized bedrooms with a central sitting/ dining room/kitchen between them...proprietor made us very welcome...and was very available if needed...wifi was good and smart TV with Netflix etc.....lots of little villages to see around Lough Derg and on the Shannon....as well as the slightly bigger towns like Portumna, Birr, Killaloe...overall a most enjoyable break...Bernard L

Summary: The place is gorgeous Lovely setting everyone very friendly Sean was an excellent host However there was an issue with the hot water And our plans were delayed because of it Also the WiFi is really poor

Summary: My mother and I travelled to Ballinderry for her to complete family research. I really wanted her to be able to stay in the same town that her Great-Grandmother had lived in which is why we chose Stonepark Lodge. I mentioned the purpose of our visit to Sean, the owner, and he arranged the best possible visit beyond anything we could have imagined. We were connected with the local genealogy experts who invested time into making our trip fruitful, educational and oh-so-interesting! They even toured us around the region to show us where our ancestors had lived and worked, even where they would have embarked on their adventure to Australia. Stonepark Lodge is a very comfortable lodging option with two well-sized bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. We were able to prepare our meals in the well-appointed kitchen and had plenty of space to relax at the end of our day. The couch was extra comfy and it was a bonus to be able to watch Netflix on the TV. The beds and linens were so extremely comfortable that it was difficult to get out of bed in the morning! The heating system is efficient and easy to adjust according to comfort. Ballindery is a gorgeous little town filled with Irish charm and history. It is the perfect place to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. Nearby Terryglass offers first class pub meals in the traditional surrounds. Lough Derg is just minutes away for watersports and swimming opportunities in the summer. We would not hesitate to recommend this lovely accommodation option.
