Positive: Honestly everything about this place is perfect! You’re close to literally everything from cafes to the beach to shops and the wharf, you’ll never have to use a car or bus to get around town and you’re 15min from CBD with the ferry, it’s super convenient! The hostel in very clean and well maintained, which is something that is so often lacking in youth hostels, but we felt like the Stoke House takes pride in maintaining their property and it shows! To the team : keep up this level of care in your place, it’s so rare these days! There’s enough showers and toilets for everyone (which if often lacking in hostels tbh) and they are clean as hell, the kitchen is huge and packed with all the cooking equipment you’ll need, the weekly activities are varied and so much fun if you’re looking to connect with the others. The place is brilliantly divided in zones, making easy to party without disturbing everyone, or relaxing and even working remotely without being disturbed! The free breakfast is so generous, the free equipment rental is perfect to enjoy the beach and the staff was always so nice and helpful.

Negative: Nothing honestly, it’s worth every penny!

Positive: Room was a good size, bed was comfy, privacy was adequate, bathrooms were as expected, and fantastic location close to the heart of Manly, the beach, and the ferry to Circular Quay. Would happily recommend.

Negative: The girls bathroom showers had hair, which is hard to avoid but could use some attention.
