Summary: Pleasant staff and a neat location with good on-site amenities; a bar upstairs that closes at 9 pm on Saturday, and even on-site massage, and a tattoo parlour. I also enjoyed various streaming apps on the Roku Smart TV. The bed very comfortable and clean, with ample bedding and pillows and navy blue sheets. The room had an exceptionally effective climate control system, set to a refreshing 70 degrees upon my arrival. The room itself, however, smelled of mildew, with obvious water damage in the corner by the entrance door (bubbled drywall). The floor of the bathroom was inexplicably wet and smelled vaguely of sewer when I arrived. I suspect a leaking toilet flange perhaps? The guests above me ended up going to sleep at about 1 am. I know this because they were easy to hear tromping around above me, laughing, and exiting via the adjacent stairwell. My neighbours next door were listening to their television quite loudly until past midnight as well. Suffice it to say that the sound control in this hotel leaves something to be desired. Combined with the aforementioned water issues, and I would give this lodge an overall rating of “a little below average.”

Summary: Spent the long weekend in one of their glamping tents. The front of the tent faced the lake which would have been great if the property cleaned out the front of the lake of the weeds and lily pads. Was missing a chair at the front, all the other tents had two and we only had one at our tent. Check in was okay, the property operators were good. Had to pay for firewood and ice, would have expected it to be free. No hot water in the main building shower, which was a bit sketchy for me, shared communal shower so brought my husband to watch that no one came in. And although the port-o-potty was close to the tent you couldn’t get close to it because of the smell. Would just have people go to the main building. Not too many activities on site. Likely won’t book again.
