Positive: Mao was a brilliant host. She took me around the tea farms and I had a great morning making dango with the local community. It was such a refreshing experience.

Negative: The room was not bad but there are several issues. 1. Soundproof is terrible. If the people in the next room turn around on their bed, then you could hear it clearly 2. We book room for 2 people, only 1 bed is made. 3. The provided body shampoo looks like it is already gone but someone put more water into it to make it looks like we still have some shampoo left 4. The room has no cover to protect your sleep from the sunrise at 5:30 am. 5. No basic ammenities like toothbrush, toothpaste. If you dont have a car, you have to walk 1.5 km in forest street to go to the nearest Lawson.
Summary: Not worth it if you don’t come there by car.

Positive: Accommodation was excellent and there is nothing to complain about. The surrounding area also offers plenty of options for trips and excursions. If you are interested in tea, you will feel like you are in paradise here. The host was extremely helpful and accommodating. She gave us a presentation and introduction to Japanese tea. I definitely recommend asking for that as well when you stay here. She also took us to a tea tasting. She even drove us all the way to Uji when we needed it. Thank you, and we will definitely come back here.
