Positive: Virginia was very helpful when we needed her help concerning transport. Also we had a very nice room with a stunning view over the valley and the mountains.

Negative: It is situated high up in the mountains, but then you also have the special view

Positive: The location was high up in the mountain and the views exceptional.We were picked up in Ollantaytambo and driven there free of charge. Rabbits hoping across a beautiful lawn and flowered garden greeted us, as did the host Carlos, who showed us around. He pointed out the farm,( well worth a visit) the Condors nest site from which one gets an amazing view of the vally below and the evening sunset, the living room dome ( where we lounged in comfortable armchairs after dinner to watch the stars,) and the restaurant where a log fire greeted us in the evening, and the food was excellent. The bedrooms are very clean and comfortable with beautiful materials used in their design, and the attention to detail way beyond our expectations. Chocolate, water, hairdryer, toothbrush, binoculars, torch, umbrellas, ponchos. The bedrooms have either private terraces or private gardens and here and there you can find individual style gazebos for whiling away an hour or two. Without doubt the most exceptional place we stayed. I can't wait to go back.

Positive: the entire experience was amazing. the rooms were amazing—beautiful details, comfortable bed, all the essentials to make our experience so enjoyable! the views, fantastic! the gardens/the landscape/flowers, so pretty! the staff, carlos, jose and roni were just so wonderful, friendly, professional! the spiritual experienced carlos shared with us in the temple area, was so meaningful and beautiful! the food, so delicious and fresh! everything was wonderful! thank you, stardome!

The organic dinner and breakfast are both amazing, with the dinner priced at $30 USD and worth every penny. Both meals are presented like fine dining in a cozy setting. Jose, our waiter, was professional and excellent, readily answering all our questions. You'll also love the animals, especially the adorable baby alpaca.

Negative: What to Expect: Drive, Snacks, and Communication Be prepared for a rugged, steep drive up to the property, but we always felt safe. While the views are incredible, there isn't a lot to do once there, so we recommend bringing your own snacks as mid-day snacks are not available. A significant point of frustration was the lack of communication prior to arrival. Our attempts to contact the owner, Virginia, for pickup details went unanswered, causing uncertainty about our day's plans. While Ronnie eventually provided a professional pickup, our initial greeting from Virginia at Stardome lacked the warm welcome we had come to expect in Peru, feeling more informational than inviting.

Positive: Everything. Just reserve. Trust me. What service! Some of the best I’ve ever experienced anywhere in the world and I travel quite a lot. And the food. Don’t even get me started on how healthy and nourishing their food is. It’s the best trout I’ve ever eaten. We are at the Belmond in Machu Picchu now and loved Stardome more. They also have a baby alpaca named Inty. AND a fire powered hot tub! So good! We stayed 2 nights and wish we stayed longer. Thank you SO much Virginia, Jose, Carlos and Chef 🙏 These are memories that will truly last a lifetime.
