Nestled in an apple orchard just outside Stamford, this spot is the perfect blend of charm and tranquility. Old Tinny was kitted out to a high spec—who knew a tin can could feel so luxurious? The little touches, like the marshmallows and cozy blanket, made it just right for roasting by the fire and pretending we’re expert campers. The complimentary cider and fresh eggs were a surprise that we didn’t expect but certainly didn’t argue with—who knew breakfast could be so fresh and delicious? And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, a badger decided to join us for an evening by the fire. It’s not every day you get to sip cider and swap stories with a local! We’re already planning our next visit and can’t wait to see how this place changes with the seasons.we will bring hot chocolate for next time. If you’re looking for a break from the hustle and bustle, this is your spot. Just be prepared to share your marshmallows with the wildlife!"

Positive: Thank you very much for making our 2-night stay in Burghley Mouse so special. The directions were easy to follow making our arrival simple. The walk through the meadow and orchard enticing, as we glimpsed our shepherd’s hut and then we were overwhelmed by the high standard of the accommodation and the attention to detail in it. We enjoyed a peaceful, idyllic and fun weekend taking advantage of all that is on offer, including the prosecco key hunt, toasting marshmallows in the arbour one evening, riding on the tandem and eating delicious fresh eggs, collected by hand, for breakfast, to name a few of the treats you very thoughtfully provided to make our stay so special. You have created a little oasis of luxurious calm and serenity.

Summary: We were looking for an unusual and special experience, the Cider Hut was perfect.

Positive: There was nothing to dislike - everything was perfect! Extra touches really made our stay special, the staff are wonderful and informative and the hut itself it’s gorgeous. We could not believe how secluded and peaceful it felt, the village is so picturesque. Amenities are great, powerful shower and cosy log fires with a comfy king sized bed. Cannot wait to return. What a wonderful stay!

Negative: One minor issue- no blind on the window and a shutter which did not close properly, leaving light coming through in the early morning. Nothing major but something to mention!
