Summary: My wife and I arrived 2 hours prior to Check-in. The lady at the front desk said the room was not ready but leave my phone number and she would call me as soon as it was. We never received that phone call.. I again went to the front desk after Check-in time. A different lady was there and said that the room had been ready prior. Dinner at the dive was terrible. My filet came out well done instead of medium. The asparagus that accompanied it was terrible. My wife had the shrimp laguini. She could not eat it. We were very disappointed. The room didn't have any lamps on the night stands. So, if we wanted any lightat all, we had to get out of bed and turn on the light switch for the overhead light. I will not recommend your property to anybody.

Summary: We have stayed at the Inn for the last 5 years. They are very accommodating. Sitting by the St Clair river , watching the freighters and boat activity is so enjoyable. Will be back again next year

Summary: The room I booked was under renovations, so I was put in another room. Only problem was that the new room had an inoperative heating and cooling system. That’s right - no air circulation. Front desk solution? A floor fan. Also, pool was closed. No reduction in price for the inconveniences. It is a beautiful property, but not well managed.

Summary: Location is great, staff was super, property was very clean. Loved sitting on the balcony along the river. BUT...pool and hot tub were not yet open for the season. When on the balcony you are right next to the guests in the next room, a little awkward when both are sitting outside. Also, we had no control over the temp of our room, it got down to 64 degrees and that was with a towel over the vent . The water pressure of the shower was awful and the shower never got hot. Also, we received an email just a day prior to our stay stating we would have a coffee maker in our room and there was not. I did ask the front desk and was told they no longer provide coffee makers and there was no where on site to get coffee at that time.

Summary: After checking in and my card was run, staff disclosed that they have had HVAC issues for 3 months which prevents individual control in each room. We paid for a premium river view balcony room. We were told it is at a constant 74 degrees. But if we wanted a "cooler" room, we could move to a downstairs room that runs at a constant 67 degrees. This was never disclosed prior to checking in, nor posted on their website. I requested our money back immediately which was kindly done with apologies. The price point did not justify the inability to guarantee comfort. Especially when this has been an ongoing problem for 3 months.

Summary: Beautiful hotel and ambiance! Favorite reading spot by the lobby fireplace. Dining was delicious at The Dive restaurant. Loved the quaint room and abundant closet and drawer space. Spacious shower and spectacular rainfall shower head. Only complaint was the mattress we had gave me a backache since I’m used to a firm one, but it’s probably okay for those who prefer soft mattresses. There was also a thin layer of dust on the drawer chest but easily wiped down. Would definitely return especially in warmer season for pool and hot tub.
