Positive: Our opinion mirrors a few others that I have read The room was outdated, tiny, and shabby, with an awful view. It was dark and cramped. In hindsight, I regret not asking to change as other guests had. It was expensive for the room we stayed in. It is, however, a very impressive and grand hotel...unfortunately, now in the hands of Brittania Hotels Chain. Who seem hell bent on running some of the most beautiful hotels into the ground. The Royal Bath is a prime example. On the plus side - fabulous facilities. Pool and golf. The reception and other areas were nice, clean, and retained, some of its olde world charm. I would probably stay again but definitely ask for a better room.

Negative: In all do respect the reception lady could of been friendlier bit more welcoming on arrival But she did help to get our room ready slightly earlier, so appreciated that. Very very disappointed that the jacuzzi and steam room was out of order. As we booked this venue for the facilities. So would of appreciated a slight reduction this being our first visit. Can't say we'd recommend Sprowston Mannor Hotel now,, had this of been offered out of courtesy, ,, also had I of gone onto trivago and booked I could of got my booking cheaper but I'd already booked with booking .com.

Summary: Lovley venue close to the city for a short break stay.

Positive: Had Superior rooms very spacious

Negative: Pillows need changing booked 3 rooms and two of the rooms complained hard balky pillows. Evening dinner well below standard we would expect. In our opinion, the food needs reviewing.

Negative: The breakfasts were way below standard. The spa facilities were poorly maintained.... the jacuzzi was not working, the steam was not working, the changing rooms needed a really good clean, the pool area and pool itself were cold especially when compared to the hotel. Rooms whilst surface clean were dusty. Can see why it was a Marriott hotel and can see the difference now Britannia.. so sad and disappointing to see it falling apart
