Positive: Good property with very good staff who were always helpful. I had a good time in this hotel. A special call out to Manish, the staff, who helped me through and through. He woke up at 4 AM as I checked out early.

Negative: A couple of things that can and should be improved. First and foremost, some furniture is old and needs replacement, especially in room furniture like a bed and sofa. It will enhance the look. Secondly, the property is apt to welcome furry friends. They should allow that which can also become a part of their business model. No changes required at all to host pets. One last thing, booking.com allows booking without any advance however, the manager called immediately after the booking asking for deposit to confirm and he also mentioned that not paying may cause last minute cancellations. This was intimidating and if due to the busy season you need confirmation, then some better way should be adopted.

Positive: Wonderful heritage property located in the heart of Shimla. We stayed in the family suite which was spacious and with a private balcony.

Negative: The hotel could do with some maintenance. The sofas cushions are all sagging and old. Breakfast service was very slow despite going after 9am. We had asked for a hair dryer which never arrived.

Summary: Nice heritage property but needs maintenance and better service.

Positive: The property is quite an attraction. The rooms were clean. There is a lot of greenery. Staff was courteous and kind. Food was well prepared and fresh.

Negative: Monkey menace. Though they were harmless still with kids you can't trust any animal.
